A common practice for business in the health, leisure and beauty industries is for customers to book repeat appointments/sessions to guarantee a consistent time and day, for example a person may like to book a personal training session on Monday at 7am for the next three months. Aionic's repeat booking functionality allows businesses to select specific services or sequences that can be booked repeatedly in the same booking transaction. Customers are able to select one time booking or repeat booking in the booking flow.
How does it work?
- The repeat booking feature needs to be enabled for services/sequences.
- Customers can select the repeat booking option after their service selection during the booking flow. They have the option of weekly or fortnightly frequency.
- Customers do have the ability to change the booking days and time on an individual basis. For example, if I want to book a follow-up beauty appointment it may be at a six week interval instead of fortnightly. The customer can select either the weekly or fortnightly option, then they can edit the second date and time to be six weeks later.
- Customers are only charged at check out for the first booking, and their credit card details will be held on file and charged in the lead up to the subsequent bookings (normally 24 hours in advance)
- Customers will receive booking confirmations for each individual booking.
- Customers must have an account to be able to make and manage repeat bookings.
- Customer can change their upcoming bookings as per the normal process.
- The repeat bookings will display with a status of 'confirmed and awaiting payment' on the booking calendar and customer profile.
Enable repeat bookings
- Go to Services/Sequences.
- Select the relevant service, in the Details section click Edit.
- Select the 'This service can be booked repeatably without upfront payment' checkbox.
- Click Save.
